Cake Guide

Here you will find helpful information as well as tips and tricks about our cakes regarding storage, transport and serving! 🎂❤️

Recommendation
Our vintage cakes are made without artificial preservatives, so we recommend eating them as soon as possible to enjoy them to the fullest.

Cake storage
Depending on your needs, you can store your cake in the included cake box for 1 day at room temperature or in the refrigerator or a cool place at warmer temperatures for 2 days.

Packaging and Transport
Our vintage cakes are delivered to you in a pretty, decorative cake box, which will ensure that the cake reaches its destination safely. Please ensure that the cake is always placed horizontally and on a stable surface during transportation.

Transport by car:
- Option 1: Place the cake on the floor of the passenger seat and push the seat forward so that the box is slightly fixed and cannot slide back and forth.

- Option 2: The passenger holds the cake on their lap. There should then be a layer (jacket, blanket, etc.) between your lap and the cake box so that the cake is not warmed up by body heat. Please turn off the heating in the car as much as possible, especially in the area where the cake is.

Before serving
Always allow the chilled cake to come to room temperature before serving - note that this may take several hours for larger cakes. For smaller cakes this is 1 hour, for larger and taller cakes it can be 2-3 hours.

In the (unlikely) event that there is any leftover, you can cut the cake into ready-made portions and freeze them.

Sunlight and heat
Please ensure at all times that the cake is never exposed to the sun and that there is no heat source near the cake.

Portion cakes correctly
With these instructions you will portion cakes like a pro!

Freezing cakes
Cakes will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months. It's best to wrap each portion separately in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil (for more stability and extra protection from freezer burn). Make sure there's enough space in the freezer so the cake pieces don't get crushed when frozen. Another option is to wrap the cake pieces only once and then store them in an airtight container in the freezer.

Defrosting cakes
Remove the desired pieces of cake from the freezer and let them thaw completely at room temperature before serving. The smaller the pieces, the faster it will go!
